ALWAYS shoot in RAW! – Non-negotiable! Select a fast aperture for portraits – f/1.2 – f/2.8 and a slower aperture of f/4-f/11 for group shots, establishing shots, and the wedding reception. Set your camera to Av (Aperture priority) – for faster shooting. When shooting outdoors use ISO 100-400. Use ISO 1600-3200 when indoors or in dimly lit areas.

The 6D should be similar, maybe slightly better. I love my 6D, and recommend it often. However, the recommendation come with a caveat, and that is, the camera was not designed for sports photography. I’m not saying it can’t do it, but it’s severely limited compared to many other options out there.
